What is the Summer Reading Program?
Simply put, it’s a way to make reading fun over the summer!
The theme this year is Level up at your Library! This theme will feature the idea of play. Play is one of the ways we learn to relate to others, to think in new ways, and to foster friendships, new and old. Level Up at Your Library reminds us that libraries are not just a space for knowledge, they are a space for fun!
This year, the summer reading program runs from June 18th - August 23rd.
How does it work?
This year, we have 2 different ways to participate in our youth summer reading program:
1. Reading Log - This is the option for those that just want to read and log how much they have read this summer. You may read as much, or as little as you want! We recommend an average of 20min a day to keep your skills sharp for the next school year. With this option participants are able to check-in once a week to receive EITHER a raffle ticket OR a small prize.
2. Bingo - This is the option for those that want to gamefy their summer reading. Complete the prompts on each tile of the bingo card. Each bingo you achieve, you will receive 1 prize raffle ticket.

Summer Reading Puzzle Challenge
Along with our Summer Reading Challenge, this year we will also be offering a summer puzzle challenge. This challenge consists of a town-wide scavenger hunt with mini puzzle challenges. Patrons will be given a scavenger hunt with 5 clues, each directing you to a different place in town. QR codes will be at each location. Once a patron has figured out the location, they will scan the qr code that brings up a puzzle for them to solve. After solving each puzzle, patrons will be given a secret word to write down on their hunt. Once all secret words have been found, patrons can bring in their hunt to be stamped, and given 1 raffle ticket.
What books count?
Anything! Any book, graphic novel, or audiobook counts!
