Holiday Community Read 2021

Sunday, December 12, 3 - 5 pm

The annual Holiday Community Read at Meekins returns!  Join friends and neighbors to read one new and one traditional holiday classic safely at the Meekins Library, Williamsburg, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 3 to 5 in the afternoon.

This year's selections:

True Gift by local author Patricia MacLachlan
This new Christmas classic about a small town, one lonely white cow, and the joys of family, community, tells the tale of how two children find out the meaning of a true gift.

A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote
An unforgettable memoir. A Christmas Memory pays tribute to the devotion that the 7-year-old Capote and his eccentric, elderly cousin, Miss Sook Faulk, have for each other—and tells the story of their Christmas traditions in rural Alabama in the 1930s.

Everyone is welcome.  Come read or listen.  There will be holiday treats to go.

If possible, please bring a donation of food or personal care product for the Williamsburg Pantry, something warm to wear for our warm clothing drive, or something to share with our animal friends.
