Adult Summer Reading

What is the Summer Reading Program?

Simply put, it’s a way to make reading fun over the summer and connect with your community! Adult participants have a chance to win gift cards to local businesses by completing a reading challenge of their choice.

This year, the summer reading program runs from June 13 - August 24

How to Participate

Stop into Meekins Library during open hours to sign up for the summer reading program. At the sign up table you will receive a packet with all of the materials you will need.

There are two ways for adult readers to participate, detailed below.

Reading logs: We are challenging our adult patrons to read 60 hours this summer! For every 5 hours logged up until the challenge is completed, you will get a raffle ticket.

Meekins Bingo: Complete a series of library-related activities and reading challenges on our Meekins BINGO card. Receive a raffle ticket for each completed horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line on your bingo card.

Completing either challenge yields a maximum of 12 raffle tickets; you are encouraged to pick whichever option sounds the most appealing. Bring your reading log or BINGO card into Meekins to claim your raffle tickets.

Drawing

The last day to return reading logs and BINGO cards is Saturday, August 24, 2024.

We will be drawing our raffle prizes at this time.
