STEAMCraft: Origami Ornaments!

Use the geometry of folding to create beautiful ornaments for your home or your tree! Make 4-, 5-, and 6-pointed origami stars, origami cranes, or try your hand at the festive Danish star. This drop-in program is perfect for ALL ages, 1 to 100!

The Second Sunday of each month meeting of the craft savvy.  Bring your hand wrought projects and share tea, sympathy, and the comraderie of fellow stitchers.  Sometimes there are treats as well. We will again share the space for the 4PM Holiday Read-A-Long, so extra food and treats, and you can bring (or make) donations for the Food Bank or Dakin!

Celebrate the Season: Read Holiday Stories at Meekins

Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Join friends and neighbors for the annual reading of seasonal and
holiday classics that celebrate this time of wonder at the Meekins Library.

Selections include: The Mitten by Jan Brett, Cold Paws, Warm Heart, by Madeleine Floyd, Oskar and the Eight Blessings by Richard and Tanya Simon, and Latke, The Lucky Dog by Ellen Fischer. Two classics round out this year's choices: How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss and Pearl S. Buck’s timeless Christmas Day in the Morning.

Everyone is welcome.  Come read or listen and enjoy holiday treats
and warm drinks. Please bring a donation for the Survival Center pantry or
something warm for their clothing exchange
.
