Thank You!

Our beautifully renovated and expanded library is the product
of more than 13 years of determination, perseverance, and plain
hard work by many, many people, and financial and every other
kind of support from many hundreds more.

This facility has been built and furnished through the generosity of:

The Townspeople of Williamsburg,
who appropriated $500,000.

The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners,
who awarded Williamsburg a
Public Library Construction Grant of $590,423.

The Massachusetts Historical Commission,
which awarded historic preservation matching grants totaling $82,500.

The National Endowment for the Humanities,
which awarded a Challenge Grant including $60,000 for construction.

and

More than 750 private contributors,
in Williamsburg and scores of other towns, cities and states, who gave
over $1 million in cash, materials, furnishings and labor — almost half the
total cost of the project — because they believed it was worth investing in.
